Brent Friedman Interview, Part I

As promised, here’s the first part of my interview with Afterworld co-creator Brent V. Friedman. Brent spoke in depth about the ups and downs of producing the internet series and what he learned from the process. Specifically, he discussed to what extent the production went according to plans, the demands and challenges of international distribution, and the prospects for earning money from internet television.

Brent Friedman Interview Coming Monday!

First of all I would like to say “thank you” to Brent for a great interview!

Yesterday I had a fantastic conversation with Afterworld co-creator Brent Friedman. Brent was incredibly generous with his time and I am busy at work getting the interview ready for publication. Brent spoke about producing an internet series, in general, and his experience producing Afterworld, in particular. He was very candid about the challenges and missteps made along the way. Brent also shared some info about his new series Gemini Division.

In deciding how best to present all of the insight and information shared by Brent, I decided to take my cue from Afterworld and serve it up one piece at a time. I’ll post sections of the interview daily, with Part I going up first thing Monday, 5/5/08. Brent had a ton of interesting things to say and you don’t want to miss any of it.
